Want to connect with your western Montana open lands? Join us for events, workshops, and volunteering opportunities! This list will be updated throughout the year:

Looking to get up close and personal with our feathered friends? Look no further than our Rock Creek Confluence! We've partnered with the University of Montana's Bird Ecology Lab to have a bird banding station at the Confluence for a 11th year of science, community engagement and fun.
Banding days are open to the public - no RSVP required! Learn more and get directions.

Show your trails some love! National Trails Day is a countrywide celebration dedicated to promoting the benefits of hiking and trails, encouraging outdoor activity, and advocating for trail stewardship.
Lace up your shoes and explore some of western Montana's fantastic routes: The Mount Dean Stone Community Forest and House of Sky Trail will be newly reopened for spring (winter closure lifts May 15)! Or, check out this great Missoula-area Trails Map for new ideas of places to enjoy!

Hungry for delicious food, boot-stomping music, land stewardship, and community? Come say hello to Five Valleys' table during the Old Salt Festival!
For three days, the Old Salt Festival creates space for what endures – land stewarded well, food raised right, conversations that matter, and community that’s built deliberately. Learn more and get tickets.
