We started as a volunteer organization in 1972, and that spirit lives on today. Give back to the lands you love by getting involved with your western Montana land trust.
Our volunteering program is as diverse as the communities we serve. From digging trail to pulling weeds to pouring beer at concerts, you're sure to find a way to connect to the land that's just right for you.
Each year our Hands on the Land volunteers assist with restoration projects, trail building and maintenance, pulling noxious weeds, and more. It's real land stewardship in action, and is at the heart of our volunteering program.
Five Valleys' annual Banquet is our biggest event of the year, and it wouldn't be possible without our hardworking volunteers. Held in May, our volunteers help set up, organize and run this complex, exciting undertaking. Dinner is provided to all volunteers the night of the event.
Great music and delicious beer supporting conservation! Our volunteers help pour beer and sell drink tokens at Big Sky Brewing Company and Knitting Factory Entertainment's Summer Concert Series. In exchange, Five Valleys receives a portion of the drink sales proceeds.
