2022 Annual Report

Five Valleys Land Trust’s 50th anniversary year was one to remember. We marked the milestone by holding the Banquet on the 50-yard line of Washington-Grizzly Stadium and celebrating at the Line Ranch with a barn dance and 400 of our friends.

Five Valleys also continued the work that western Montanans have trusted us to do for a half-century. In partnership with two families, we protected 1,891 acres of agricultural lands in the Mission and Flint Creek Valleys. We honored a decade of ownership at the Rock Creek Confluence. We opened the House of Sky Trail on Mount Dean Stone. Staff stewarded 81,671 acres of private conservation easement lands.

None of this work would be possible without the community that has driven and supported Five Valleys’ efforts. Thanks to you, we raised $4.3M through Montana Forever Campaign in 2022, laying a foundation for the work ahead. As you look back at Five Valleys’ 2022, I hope you are also inspired by the momentum and opportunity ahead.
